BIP44 refers to the accepted common standard to derive non segwit addresses. These addresses always begin with a 1.
BIP49 refers to the accepted common standard of deriving segwit "compatibility" addresses. These addresses begin with a 3.
BIP84 refers to the accepted common standard of deriving native segwit addresses. These addresses always begin with bc1 - and are referred to bech32 addresses.
By default, Samourai will always generate bech32 addresses to receive to on the Receive screen. This can be changed to BIP49 or BIP44 for a given transaction via the settings gearbox on the Receive screen in Samourai.
Samourai Wallet automatically manages and is fully compliant with all three of the address derivation standards noted above.
